SARSTEDT Australia's product range includes both equipment and consumables for use in pathology, laboratory, research, transfusion medicine, blood bank equipment and laboratory automation.
The company's Australian Head Office and Australian manufacturing facility has been located in Adelaide at Technology Park, Mawson Lakes since 1991. The premises are specifically designed for the company's operations and include special clean room facilities for aseptic handling and production. Sarstedt Australia is licensed to manufacture therapeutic goods in accordance with the Australian Code of Good Manufacturing Practice and AS ISO 13485.
The Sarstedt group of companies was founded in 1961 and has its international headquarters located in Germany. As an international organisation the group employs almost 2,500 people globally. Several production facilities operate throughout the world and the group's sales representation is carried out by the Sarstedt Company sales divisions and exclusive distributorships.

The Sarstedt Group awards a research prize for outstanding and novel work in the field of clinical chemistry, chemical pathology, haematology, blood coagulation and instrumental analysis, related to the development of diagnostic methods in the field of early diagnosis of disease.
The prize valued at around 50,000 Euros is available to scientists throughout the world. The award winner is selected by the German Society for Clinical Chemistry. Since its inception in 1986 the prize winners so far have come from USA, Germany, Switzerland, Israel, Canada and Austria.
