One look at the budget papers will show you that Commonwealth funding for hospitals in Western Australia is rising from $1.481 billion to $2.188 billion over the next four years.

This reflects growth in annual funding of 47.7 per cent, which is more growth than any other state or territory in Australia.

Indeed, Commonwealth funding for public hospitals in Australia is growing by $5.3 billion over the forward estimates, which represents growth of 39.6 per cent in annual funding.

Labor has no plan for the health sector; much less the competency to deliver any meaningful reform.

The Government is determined to strengthen Medicare for an ageing population and continues to negotiate with the AMA and with the crossbench Senators in good faith.

Retention of bulk billing and a secondary safety net provide protection for those without a capacity to pay the $7.

Over six years in office, Labor left $123 billion in cumulative deficits for Australians and with gross debt approaching $667 billion.
